MetaPhase is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst/Product Owner with 7+ years of experience. This role would be supporting an Agile Scrum Team and responsible for helping lead the Business Analyst function and acting as a Proxy Product Owner in support of the government Product Owners to help drive velocity and delivery excellence on the team. The person who fills this role is passionate about Agile software delivery and helps translate business requirements into well-defined, testable user stories. The successful candidate will manage and prioritize desired outcomes and help drive consensus across internal team members and external stakeholders. They are willing to deep dive into the functional domain of our customers and ramp up quickly in the business of the agencies we support. Basic Qualifications (Required)- 7+ total years experience; min. 4+ years working in an Agile development environment in product/software delivery organizations within the federal government (e.g. Scrum, Lean Agile, XP, Kanban and other Agile development techniques)
- 2+ years in a scrum master role and/or Agile Certification (e.g. CSM, CEC, ICAgile, CSPO)
- Federal consulting experience; Experience supporting State Department is a strong plus
- Strong customer engagement skills, comfortable communicating with product owner and ability to manage the client relationship and expectations.
- Ability to communicate with technical team members to translate requirements into technical terminology.
- Experience facilitating working sessions with end users and all levels of stakeholders to capture business needs and requirements
- Experience developing user stories and epics, functional requirements, technical requirements and other SDLC documentation to describe software solutions in detail.
- Experience with developing professional briefing materials to convey analysis using Microsoft Office tools (e.g., PowerPoint and Visio)
- Possession of excellent business consulting skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience writing User Stories that are testable with clear acceptance criteria
- Accountable for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Team
- Accountable for effective Agile Product Backlog management
- Defines customer needs in technical and business contexts. Ensures the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort
- Elicits and documents user requirements to meet a business objective in the form of Agile stories
- Develops and manages an Agile Product Roadmap defining how epic and feature stories will be delivered across the project lifecycle
- Works closely with the development team to ensure they understand the business needs and are delivering accepted stories
- Validates the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements.
