ASD is seeking a data analyst with proficiency in SQL and Teradata skillsets to identify changes in non-compliance trends, repeat offenders, and detect opportunities to enhance the existing screening programs. The data analyst will generate reports, create analytical techniques to identify trends and relationships to enhance our program strategies, and work with IS Analytics to develop dashboards.

HOW A SENIOR DATA ANALYST

WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Data Analyst will be responsible for helping to identify information hidden in vast amounts of data and helping to make smarter decisions and strategies. The primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, collaborating with USPIS Analytics to build analytical tools and dashboards.The data analyst will provide specific and ongoing technical support by performing the following tasks related to the international mail initiative:
  • Data mining and analysis
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
  • Generating reports
  • Creating analytical techniques to identify data trends and relationships
  • Creating system enhancement documentation
  • Collaborating with Enterprise Analytics and USPIS Analytics in the development of analytical tools and dashboards

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:
  • A degree from an accredited College or University in the field of services is preferred

Required Experience:
  • 8+ years’ experience

Required Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL and Teradata skillsets
  • Microsoft Excel
  • MicroStrategy a plus
  • Oracle DB

Security Clearance Level:
  • Client Specific Public Trust
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
