When we succeed, you succeed and together our best becomes better.HOW A SENIOR PRINCIPAL ENGINEER FOR CAPACITY WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :

Provide engineering, operations and maintenance for capacity virtualization, storage area networks and other storage capabilities including Fiber Channel networking.

Working knowledge and application of backup concepts and practices including experience with backup retention, scheduling, and replication for disaster recovery purposes. Including working knowledge of database backups, full and incremental backup technologies and storage de-duplication and changed block tracking.

Troubleshoot and restore complex capacity problems across the enterprise related to replication strategies and capacity strategies across wide area networks.

Manage capacity allocation, space, and replication strategies.

Analyze and resolve problems related to capacity systems and network storage solutions.

Design virtual capacity clusters and physical-to-virtual conversion of servers.

Design the environment for High-Availability and Data Recovery.

Assist with development of disaster recovery plans.

Design or Assist with Business continuity plan.

Work with both VMWare and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.

Work with Windows Server architecture.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED :

Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related technical discipline.

Required Experience: 15+ years’ experience with administration of various SAN and NAS storage architectures.

Required Technical Skills: Acquire DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment. 

Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret/SCI Eligibility

Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to convey conceptual ideas both written and verbally; Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructure technologies
