We are looking for Sr. Product Owner BSA (min 16 Yrs exp) (LOCAL Candidates ONLY) (Webcam interviews) POSITION DESCRIPTION DIRECT CLIENT Position Number of positions: 1 Length: 5-17 Months + Location: Washington, DC 20019 Immediate interviews either Webcam or In-person interviews Please note that this position requires 1 -3 days onsite and rest REMOTE. This position will serve as a product owner, responsible for requirements gathering and documenting using an agile methodology, performing backlog grooming sessions, and coordinating with program staff and vendors. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for testing, and project leadership is also part of this position's responsibility. An ideal candidate will be providing the business requirements expertise to the project daily. Tasks will include working with technical and program resources to monitor the progress of delivering system requirements, evaluate the quality of deliverables against business requirements, assess the quality of use cases, test cases, and system requirements. The project will use a hybrid (agile and waterfall) approach to deliver the system and involve the ongoing development of a new application, system interfaces, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate will be able to

  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems in implementing client's unemployment insurance system as per industry standards.
  • Analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications.

  • Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered the top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of applying technology to the current and future business environment.
  • Experience with integrating systems with various internal and external systems
Qualifications & Expertise:
  • Expert level experience in documenting the business process and flow
  • Experience aligning IT strategy and planning with the company's business goals.
  • Experience delivering highly scalable architecture solution that supports mobile and web.
  • Experienced in web technologies with mobile app design experience
  • Experience with large complex data sets
  • Communication skills, both written and spoken, business level English mandatory
  • Strong documentation skills
