Summary This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. This position serves as the Chief of Staff of the Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO). AISOO is used as the administrative office symbol for ISOO within NARA. ISOO is responsible to the President for policy and oversight of the government-wide security classification system. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Management & Program Analyst, you will: Independently carry out day-to-day operations using a variety of coordinating, planning, and leadership techniques to assure that the work of the support and administrative staff of ISOO is successfully accomplished. Lead the development and implementation of new or improved practices, methods, or concepts related to ISOO's program operations. Ensure a high-level of communication within ISOO and supports communication activities with component heads, managers, supervisors, administrative staff, and stakeholders. Support advisory committees, panels, and boards established by executive order, statute, or regulation, including the Interagency Security Classification Appeals Panel, the Public Interest Declassification Board, and the Controlled Unclassified Information Advisory Council. Requirements Conditions of Employment The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. A one year probationary period may be required. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. This position also requires a top secret clearance. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-15 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Supervising or leading staff by planning, organizing, and coordinating workloads and evaluating organizational or operational performance standards.; AND - Developing recommendations for improving the efficiency of operational programs, and tracking performance; AND - Analyze and evaluate issues/problems related to office operations, policies, and procedures and contributes to the development of major policies. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
