Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in task areas assigned, and familiarity with data management technologies, federal information system security standards, and methodologies and; Preference of Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years serving as a primary or sole Informatica PowerCenter and Data Quality administrator in a secure (not air-gapped) RHEL environment. Able to independently, or with Informatica support, efficiently and accurately resolve complex problems necessitating an intimate knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Data Quality, RHEL 8 or later, Microsoft SQL Server, and other industry-standard relational database management systems, file encodings, and non-relational data stores Strong customer service skills and team building skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team. Performs detail-oriented task independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience developing accurate, detailed, and easy-to-use user guides and documentation on systems and processes. Experience utilizing Informatica PowerCenter and Data Quality to develop, test, monitor, and optimize complex ad-hoc and recurring ETL mappings and workflows. Be comfortable using technical tools to support activities in data management and development of modern methods and best practices to answer a variety of data and audit issues. Be able to advise users on access and usage of data management tools and the Informatica services and features available in DHS OIG's environment. Have strength in collaboration and teamwork within, between, and across organizational boundaries, including experience engaging with management, colleagues, data analysts, data architects, information system security officers, and end-users to define business requirements for a project and develop technical recommendations for review by supervisory/senior data architect and management in OCDO and OCIO. Have knowledge and skills in obtaining information from others and applying analytical techniques to analyze, evaluate, recommend, and implement sound and effective solutions to problems. Possess proficient communication skills including the ability to explain technical content to non-technical audiences, develop and present issues, and draft written reports of findings and recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program administration and operations. Have demonstrated strength in consistently achieving goals and objectives, including pushing to achieve stretch goals and continuous learning. Be comfortable using technical tools to support activities in data modeling and development of modern methods and best practices to answer a variety of data management and system administration/engineering issues.
