Note: Hybrid position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to assist IT Operations department accomplish the following objectives:
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement automation solutions to streamline and improve processes, reducing manual workload and minimizing errors.
- Monitor AWS environment to identify potential security and performance issues and take corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to provide technical support and troubleshoot related issues.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve the AWS infrastructure and automation of systems.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux, including administration, configuration, and deployment.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, bash).
- Proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet).
- Understanding of network and security best practices in AWS.
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to plan and implement system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, utilizing approved organization technologies. Work "hand in hand" with System Operations to develop self-service infrastructure provisioning, delivery pipelines, log, and monitoring services.
- Maintain and update system documentation as required.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Bachelor Degree and/or relevant technical training with no preferred certification.
- Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of directly related experience.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of operational and/or technical experience.
- Experience in systems administration and engineering in a mature Enterprise environment.
- Extensive Terraform experience.
- Extensive AWS Cloud infrastructure environments including ECS, EC2, API, S3, Lambda and others.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft and Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) server operating systems and networking.
