Description We are offering a contract for a Systems Administrator IV position, based in District of Columbia. This role is in the IT industry and will have you working on-site. As a Systems Administrator IV, your focus will be on the configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of systems, including the associated hardware. Responsibilities: Ensure accurate configuration and administration of both physical and virtual systems Oversee the maintenance and support of IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operation Implement best practices for system functional specifications Perform backup and recovery tasks for IT infrastructure Allocate storage space and tune system performance to ensure optimal functionality Implement critical patches to safeguard system security and performance Review system performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues Communicate effectively with internal team members and external parties such as vendors Apply creativity and ingenuity to develop new technical solutions and systems to achieve functional objectives Utilize expert knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts in performing job duties Manage large projects or processes, ensuring key objectives and deliverables are met.Requirements Exceptional communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders Proven leadership skills for managing and guiding teams Proficient in training team members and ensuring knowledge transfer Competent in handling Human Resources (HR) Administration tasks Familiarity with 'About Time' software for effective time management Experience in dealing with vendors for procurement and management Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions Strong knowledge of best practices in system administration Experience in maintaining logs for tracking and analysis purposes Proficiency in configuration management for system optimization Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and their implications on system administration Knowledge of storage management for efficient data handling Experience with backup technologies to ensure data safety and recovery Ability to deliver on time and manage deployments effectively Understanding of fundamental principles of system administration Willingness to be onsite for managing system requirements Creativity in solving complex technical issues Proficient in talent management and team building Experience in handling patches and tuning systems for optimal performance Willingness to travel internationally for business requirements Ability to design and implement technical solutions as per business needs.
