Job Title: System Administrator

Clearance Required: Secret

Work Location: Washington, DC (Remote through COVID)

Position Description/Scope of Work:

As a

Systems Administrator, you will work closely with both on-site and remote users. Your expertise is to provide on-site and remote resolution support for trouble calls, and provide TIER 2 support of production systems. Systems Administrators will have primary responsibility for providing Remote System Administration support. Systems Engineers are used to provide engineering, design, installation, and day-to-day monitoring, management, and support of back-end infrastructure services, hardware, and software. Examples include Active Directory, e-mail systems, client and server monitoring and management systems, PKI hardware/software, and Citrix systems. Also included are all hardware installation and repairs related to the server platforms required to support back-end infrastructure. It also is used to aid in managing network performance, maintaining security, evaluating current networks, identifying deficiencies, and recommending performance improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs varied aspects of administering, operating, and maintaining a computer network composed of Windows Server 2012 and 2016.
  • Provides mid-level support for the installation, maintenance and usage of a local/wide area network servers.
  • Executes test procedures to assess systems performance, identify and troubleshoot problems, and analyze results for the implementation of system upgrades.

Required Skills:

  • 2 year's experience administering, operating, maintaining, and securing a computer network composed of Windows Server 2012 and 2016.
  • 1 year experience deploying computer system applications on Windows server in a client/server network environment.
  • 1 year experience troubleshooting network problems and providing solutions.
  • 2 years' experience working with computer network configurations, Windows Server operating systems, and the TCP/IP protocol.
  • 2 years' experience administering network management protocols and related standard tools.
  • Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 2
  • Minimum Years of Specific Experience in Field: 2

Desired Skills:
  • 2 years' experience working with network-based application software such as Exchange and SCCM.
  • 2 years' experience providing support in telecommunications, network, and computer security issues and established security practices.
  • Experience with Citrix or Webber

Required Certification(s):
  • N/A

Desired Certification(s):
  • Windows MCSA
  • Comptia Security +
  • ITIL Foundations

Required Education:
  • Education Requirement with specific field of study

    : Bachelors Degree
