Job Opportunity: Technical WriterLocation: Hybrid /Washington, DCClient: FHFA Job Description Experience writing government Policy is a plus The objective of this role is to provide a policy and technical writer toour federal government client in Washington, D.C. The candidate must havecomprehensive hands-on experience in composing, editing, clarifying, andmaintaining policies, procedures, regulations. Requirements: - US Citizen - Must have experience with 508 compliance and review - Must have federal and/or government contracting experience- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/English or related field- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint - 2 years minimum of specialized experience that is directly relatedto the position and has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills,and abilities to be successful in this role - Experience in composing, editing, clarifying, and maintainingpolicies, procedures, regulations, interpretive issuances, andpresentations, creating, and implementing policy-related communicationstrategies Duties Entail: - Drafts, writes, and edits the budget and ancillary policies,manuals, newsletters, websites, and other compositions as needed. - Create and edit formal policy, procedure, and training documentswith technical guidance relating to a variety of systems and programs. - Ensure that document verbiage is thoroughly researched, accurate,and precise, while remaining accessible to the layperson. - Serves as the SharePoint content manager for the Office of the ChiefFinancial Officer. - Compose and reviews written materials to ensure conformity withguidelines, written directives, and factual accuracy in data. - Re-writes, expands, or clarifies materials in the interest ofaccuracy and clarity, and conveys the appropriate information to theintended audience. - Composes, edits, clarifies, and maintains policies, procedures, andregulations. - Ensure that information is structured appropriately to maintainconsistent standards and an intuitive flow within each document. - Performs other duties as assigned as associated with this jobclassification. - Interprets issuances and presentations- Creates and implements policy-related communication strategies.
