Threat analysis includes crafting assessments and making analytical judgements concerning the activities, infrastructure, tactics, techniques, and procedures of threat actors across various geographic areas based on provided data.

Responsible for leading the proactive hunting mission. This mission encompasses full-spectrum analysis (host, network, and cloud disciplines) to hunt for anomalous and malicious behaviors on a national scale.

Primarily target behavioral heuristics, time/frequency analysis, trending, protocol/application mismatching, etc. to identify anomalous activity that traditional IOC signatures would not identify.

Responsible for building out a core knowledge base i.e., playbooks for each agency to be leveraged by AP and Hunt investigative operations.

Establish, manage, and lead advanced pivot analysis to not only determine adversarial activity, but mapping out of adversarial infrastructure leveraging OSINT and closed sourced tools. The findings of such activities will be closely coordinated with key mission partners to aid the development of the Mission Partners' offensive cyber operation target packages.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future

Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or related technical field

4+ years of validated Threat Analysis experience in a DoD or consulting environment

Experience assessing and making analytical judgements concerning activities, infrastructure, tactics, techniques and procedures of threat actors across geographic regions

Experience leading proactive hunting missions and full spectrum analysis (host, network, and cloud) to hunt for anomalous and malicious behaviors on a national scale

Experience supporting cyber analytics, Splunk (SPL), DSL, Red Hat Linux, Cyber Security or Cyber Risk

Holds one or more of the following professional certifications: SANS-GCIA, SANS-GISF, ECSA, or Cyber Analyst Course

Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain polygraph

Preferred:

Master's Degree in Cybersecurity or related technical field

Active TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
