Responsibilities include:
Process incoming file registrations to include: Open files, reviewing documents and sales contracts, entering data into SoftPro program, obtaining property tax information, and requesting title information
Enter new title orders into SoftPro
Generate and fax title and survey orders
Process cases through settlement
Coordinate with agents, lenders, and/or sellers and buyers to obtain any outstanding information
Schedule settlements with all parties
Review all incoming information and documents for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to title work, surveys, trust agreements, and wills
Correct any existing title problems, e.g. unreleased trusts, Mechanics Liens, and Judgments
Prepare all settlement documents, including but not limited to the HUD-1 Settlement Statement
Disbursement of funds with the highest level of competence.
Send recorded docs and policy jackets post closing to the parties involved
Assist in arranging files/docs for annual audits
Handling files in DC, MD and VA. Having Title Settlement license, a plus.
Qualifications:
A self-managing person with little intervention or assistance from others.
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in the title/settlement industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all parties involved
High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with SoftPro preferred; Microsoft Office proficiency required and able to pass background check.
