Systems Administrator:Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems related to the broadcast content environment consisting of Windows servers & workstations, Linux servers and the VMware virtual environment. Seek to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers meets the needs of the users. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to build & manage servers running Windows Server 2012 through Window Server 2019 and integrate all software products
  • Manage Active Directory domain infrastructure
  • Manage Active Directory objects; accounts and computer objects
  • Ability to create, modify and troubleshoot Group Policy object
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft patching, and will assist with deploying patches to workstations and servers using Ivanti Security Controls
  • Manage Network File Servers and FTP resources, manage end user accounts and permissions
  • Responsible for management of VMware server infrastructure, monitoring and troubleshooting issues
  • Work with team members to upgrade VMware infrastructure components
  • Proficient with VMware Horizon View infrastructure; ability to troubleshoot end user connectivity issues and will assist in upgrading Horizon View infrastructure
  • Understanding of creating desktop images and optimizing the workstation for best performance
  • Ability to work with application SMEs to build/manage virtual machines
  • Assist with managing, upgrading VMware virtual infrastructure components, such as vCenter and Platform Controller Service
  • Manage and support VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues to virtual desktops
  • Deploy Microsoft and third-party updates to servers & workstations
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot Symantec Anti-virus
  • Manage Tier 2 trouble tickets submitted by end users via Service Now
  • Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common hardware and/or software issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology or Server Administration
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • or equivalent, relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers and desktop operating systems; installation, management & troubleshooting
  • Advanced knowledge using Microsoft SCCM
  • Knowledgeable about VMware Virtual Environments
  • Experience with VMware Horizon View
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to manage network files systems and FTP servers
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Working knowledge of Symantec End Point Protection
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux
