Wine Junction is an upscale, boutique wine shop and bar. Open since early 2023, we showcasefine wines from small producers, as well as offera cozy lounge to enjoy wine with small plates curated by Pepe Moncayo, the ChefofCranes restaurant in Washington DC. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere for wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Our goal is to educate, inspire, and provide the best wine-buying experience to our customers.We are looking for a Sales Associate to assist in the shop, with the following responsibilities: - Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient customer service to help guests select wines-Assist with day-to-day operations of the wine shop, including inventory management,ringing checkout, and maintaining a clean, inviting, and well-organized shop environment- Lead wine tastings and educational events for customers- Serve diningguests with in a friendly, welcoming andknowledgeable manner- Work with the kitchen to ensure a seamless service experience The ideal candidate will have:- At least 1 year of hospitality experience,and feel comfortabledescribing wine verbally- A passion for wine and providing exceptional customer service- A positive attitude and be a team player- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol- Some formal wine qualification, such as WSET or CMS, or willingness to pursue this educationWorking details: -Minimum schedule is part-time, with shifts Thursday - Saturday, 4-9pm-Hourly compensation $18-21, depending on experience, PLUS tips additional- Reimbursements for wine education- Work closely and collaboratively with ownership, your opinion matters- Opportunity for growth in wine education and management- Discounts on wine and dining experiences Please include a brief note about yourself along with your resume.
