Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Fort Pierce, Florida. This role is primarily within the finance industry and requires the individual to handle accounts payable tasks such as invoice processing, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The individual will be working in a professional workplace environment and will be expected to utilize various accounting software systems for efficient workflow.Responsibilities: Accurately process ACH postings, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded. Handle the matching, coding, and batching of invoices for payment processing. Conduct regular credit reconciliations to identify and rectify any discrepancies in the accounts. Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all customer credit applications are correctly processed and recorded. Verify invoices to ensure their accuracy before processing for payment. Utilize accounting software systems such as GP and Sage for efficient workflow; prior experience with these software is a plus but not required. Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets for tracking and reporting financial data. Carry out check processing tasks, ensuring all checks are correctly issued and recorded. Perform various accounting functions as required, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and timely. Leverage skills in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Microsoft Excel to streamline and improve accounting processes. Requirements Proficiency in account coding is necessary for accurate financial record keeping Familiarity with accounting software systems is essential for efficient workflow Experience with ADP - Financial Services will be beneficial in managing financial transactions Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required for effective resource management Understanding of accounting functions is crucial for maintaining financial records Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is important for managing outgoing payments Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions is necessary for handling electronic payments Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for data analysis and reporting.
