JOB SUMMARY: This role is responsible for the design, support, maintenance, and implementation of the telecommunications infrastructure for the enterprise. Responsible for daily operations, analysis and monitoring of the Cisco Call Manager and other relevant services like voicemail, fax, and video conferencing units.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently build and perform system implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the Cisco Unified Collaboration (UC) environment including Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity voice mail system, Cisco Emergency Response and Xmedius Fax. Independently provides complex telecom administration in the areas of Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity (voicemail) and video conferencing and designate responsibilities as tasked in the workflow. Conduct capacity planning and quarterly fail over testing of all unified communications systems and initiates areas of preventative maintenance, configuration back-ups, capacity planning, telecom redundancy and disaster recovery.
  • Serves as tier 3 support to junior level analyst to provide and train end users’ desk phones and voicemail features to include, call forwarding, hunt, busy; call handler; broadcast messaging as well as unified messaging. Basic knowledge of Cisco Contact Center solution is ideal but not required. Evening and weekend on-call rotation with onsite support.
  • Processes local Telco special circuits request for installations and disconnects. Coordinates service requests with local Telco to report out of service conditions and serves as a liaison between local LEC and solutions engineer for circuit connectivity.
  • Collaborate on projects and special events to provide voice solution and other voice related capabilities. Responsible in finding new technologies and strategically develop solutions that is applicable to corporate requirement and industry standards.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Associate degree (AA) and or CCNA certification is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years hands-on experience required in a position of similar function and responsibility in a Cisco environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Cisco Basic Administrator certification
