Aerospace MRB Engineering Technician

SummaryThis position requires reviewing castings and dispositioning per part specific IMRS and customer criteria. It also involves processing parts by removing or reducing defects using available tools and equipment. The ideal candidate has experience disposition parts for both process and product related defects, can interpret technical specifications, is detail-oriented, and can work independently. A successful candidate will effectively communicate common defects to the appropriate parties and escalate issues appropriately. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Must have the ability to read and comprehend engineering and customer specifications.Must have the ability to follow written instructions.Checks to make sure previous paperwork has been completed and signed off and ensures that paperwork matches parts to be inspected.Completes all required paperwork.Must be diligent in MRB Dispositioning within 48 hours or assisting appropriate engineering representative in doing so within the required time limit.Must have adequate organizational skills.  Performs rework per applicable specifications while staying within limits specified by customer supplied specifications and part specific IMRS.Must have adequate communication skills to relay necessary information to responsible engineering, quality, and/or production representatives.Must have the ability to analyze and interpret dimensional data.
