Scope of Services The Florida Department of Transportation, Office of Information Technology (OIT) - Application Services is in search of a Cloud Architect to play a key role in assisting the Office of Information Technology in the establishment, adoption, and continued execution of cloud services.

General responsibilities may include the following:1. Lead cultural change for cloud adoption2. Develop a cloud strategy and coordinate adoption3. Architect, design, facilitate, lead, coordinate, and direct cloud initiatives on multiple fronts across a variety of disparate areas within the organization, this could include: Application development; Data management, analytics and protection; External IT hosting; Identity and access management; Infrastructure; Network; Security, privacy and compliance; User experience

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or another related field2 years of experience can substitute for education

Experience 1. 2 - 3 years of strong professional experience as a Microsoft Azure cloud architect

is required.2. 5 - 8 years of professional experience in Information Systems or another related field

is required.3. Experience with .NET application development in a DevOps environment

is highly desired.4. 2 - 3 years of professional experience in administration of ESRI GIS software is

highly desired.5. 2 - 3 years of leadership experience with Enterprise Architecture is

required.6. 2 - 3 years of prior experience with the FDOT Office of Information Technology is

highly desired.7. Microsoft Azure certification is

highly desired.

Proficiency in process formulation and communication to others.9. Influential person with the ability to lead and motivate others.10. Strong grasp of IT infrastructure and application development technology and architectures.11. Knowledge of assessment and analytical process and practices.12. Skill in strategic planning.13. Skill in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions.14. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and manage complex work assignments and project schedules.15. Ability to research, identify, and implement innovative solutions.16. Ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings, workshops, conferences, etc.17. Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.18. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.19. Ability to work independently and as a team.
