Automotive Painter, Central Shops

• Paint various props (ex. - wood graining, aging, textures) to match existing surfaces.
• Perform layout, sculpting, theming and painting of various props from Artist direction and/or conceptual drawings.
• Perform air brush and conventional spraying, fades and blending.
• Perform cosmetic fiberglass repairs and gel coats utilizing various materials.
• Documentation of paints and procedures used in modifications and repairs.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school is preferred.

• Required:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in theme painting and air brush painting.
  • Color matching and blending of new to existing finishes is necessary

• Preferred:

  • 5-7 years proven experience in a similar work environment dealing with critical paint issues
  • Knowledge of all phases of paint, fiberglass and sculpting are needed to be successful in this job classification
  • Free Style painting is a plus.
