The Mainframe Modernization Practice Area Leader are especially adept at building and leading highly skilled teams, advising on complex integration, and scaling challenges, and immersing themselves in customer use cases and problems. You will be a SME for teams in providing strong, hands-on, technical leadership, as well as mentorship for continued professional development. You'll bring deep software experience in a global, dynamic, diverse, and inclusive team helping TD reduce their legacy footprint by modernizing their mainframe and midrange applications. We encourage candidates from all experiential backgrounds to apply.10+ years of hands-on technical experience with mainframe, non-x86 legacy systems and with technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 for z/OS, Assembler, PL/I, Java, Rexx, flat/sequential files, GDGs, and VSAM

4+ years of experience designing architectures for secure enterprise MF and Legacy systems

5+ years of experience migrating workloads from mainframe and non-x86 legacy systems to distributed x86 infrastructures on-premises or in the Cloud

5+ years of experience integrating mainframe and non-x86 legacy systems with distributed Linux-based or Windows-based x86 servers

Knowledge of Cloud Computing, Azure, Containers, Microservices, and Serverless technology

Direct experience with conversion, rehost and related modernization technologies and platforms

Experience with tools and methodologies used to migrate mainframe workloads via hardware/middleware emulation, automated code conversion

Experience with analyzing on-premises mainframe applications and data stores to formulate plans for modernizing workloads

Experience with modernization of Mainframe / Legacy applications (i.e. refactoring legacy application)

Proven track record in developing strong client relationships with a focus at the executive levels

Strong communication skills including extensive experience dealing at the executive level

Demonstrated business acumen including negotiation skills and contact/profit management

Strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask within a fast paced and dynamic workplace

Exceptional presentation skills with demonstrated executive engagement and proven ability to present strategic information to, and drive change across a broad range

Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to work effectively across organizations

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Math and/or business
