job summary:
Remote REQUIRED SKILLS:- 4-5+ years of AWS Cloud infrastructure provisioning experience (RDS, Private Links, load balancers, IAM Users/Roles, Security groups, VPC peering, API gateway, Route 53 ,Networking, DNS, EC2,Cloudwatch,Cloud trail, etc.)
- Experience in supporting applications in Rancher & Kubernetes based environments - Deployment, configuration, monitoring, scaling, etc.
- Experience in provisioning and configuring cloud platform technologies and AWS resources (ex: Redis, RDS, Elastic Search, Istio, Grafana, EKS, loadbalancers, IAM roles, Privatelinks, VPC peering, Cloudwatch)
- Experience in implementing end to end monitoring with several different tools like, Amazon CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics etc.
- Expertise in Log Aggregation, Container monitoring and Analytics.
- Experience with scripting and automation of IaC - Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Python, Unix, Shell, etc.
- Experience with middleware technologies like Confluent cloud and/or DB technologies like Postgress and Mongo is a plus
- IaC Automation Experience: CloudFormation & Terraform
- Experience in using Git, ServiceNow, JIRA, confluence, EKS, etc.
- Good Communication, Collaboration & Documentation skills
- Work with minimal direction
- Experience with AWS Administration, Security and Deployment
- Focus will be around Kubernetes deployment
- Migrating from Redhat Openshift to Amazon EKS
- Troubleshooting cluster and application specific issues within OpenShift and or Kubernetes environments.
- Responsible for AWS EKS operations along with other AWS services support and reliability, leveraging observability tool stack.
- Work with Application, Architecture teams to implement best practices for running application services within Kubernetes and cloud (AWS) and assist in migrating applications from OpenShift to AWS EKS environment.
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Ansible, AWS Cloud formation, python, shell scripting etc.
- Basic knowledge about Microservices platform and functions
- A basic understanding of web based software development
- Previous exposure to containers and containerization - in particular Docker
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes (OpenShift preferably), Micro/Mini services design principle with 12FA knowledge
- Deep knowledge on Helm charts, Grafana/ Kibana/ Kiali, Application Perf Management (APM) toolset
- Deep knowledge on release process, CI/ CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitOps, integrations with JIRA and confluence
- GitOps knowledge, feature flags usage
- Agile practitioners
- Completion of tasks assigned to them, closing any open tickets
