Manage bids preparation to prepare and submit a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process.
Responsible for managing the bid process from the receipt of the request for proposal ( RFP ) to the tender transfer to the execution team.
Analyze the request for proposal and define the bid operational strategy considering the commercial strategy.
Responsible for driving the proposal development strategy and ensuring all resources are aligned to the client’s requirements looking for the best balance between execution excellence and competitiveness.
Propose Project Contractual Organization, partnership/consortium strategies and external system purchases
QCD ( Quality, Cost, Delivery ) after having reviewed the complete bid with the bid core team.
After bid submission, remain involved through the contract negotiation and signature.
Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes.
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, Insurance to delivered optimized Price, Cash Curve and Price List
Identify, analyze, and register the risks and saving opportunities, evaluate and control tender budget.
Pro-actively follow the customer negotiations and evolution of the offer and communicate on the changes, re-launch the approval process after having analyzed the QCD impact of the changes
This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires strong people management, Project management and commercial skills.
BS or MS degree
Hands on experience with bid management
Previous experience is such roles as : Bid Manager, Bids Manager, Proposal Manager, Proposals Manager, Tender Manager, Engineering Sales Manager, etc
Experience in costing, planning ( cost consolidation and project scheduling tools), risk management, legal aspects, project management, finance, bids & tenders
Ability to produce the tender deliverables within a limited time period and under potentially stressful conditions
