Bookkeeper

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the machinery manufacturing industry, located in Punta Gorda, Florida, United States. We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to become a part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in the processing of customer transactions, managing financial records, and providing a high level of customer service. Responsibilities: Handle customer communication via email and occasional calls to discuss payments or answer queries. Manage the sending out of invoices and arrangement of payments. Perform bookkeeping duties, including account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for data entry and other related tasks. Ensure efficient and accurate processing of month-end close activities. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for internal use. Engage in Ad Hoc projects as and when required. Assist in payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Gradually take on more responsibilities as comfort with the role increases.
