Description Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join their CPA firm in West Palm Beach, FL. As a Bookkeeper, you will be involved in various tasks such as managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and assisting the Tax Accountants. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining clients' financial records and ensuring their financial operations run smoothly.Responsibilities: Oversee the management and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable. Guarantee that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as needed. Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring each account is maintained in accordance with the specific needs of the client. Reconcile client accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate effectively with clients about their financial status, including providing detailed explanations of financial data. Process payroll for clients, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Assist in the preparation of tax returns by providing necessary financial data to CPAs. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and other CPA firm-specific tools to manage financial records. Implement best practices in bookkeeping and financial record management, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate closely with CPAs and other members of the accounting team to support client needs, providing training and support to junior staff members when necessary.Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role for a CPA Firm Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Bank Reconciliations and Bookkeeping Proficient in Data Entry Ability to use Microsoft Excel at an advanced level Experience in Month End Close procedures Knowledge of Payroll processes Proficiency in QuickBooks software Excellent communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy in all work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
