Bookkeeper

Description Requirements and Skills:

Must be able to commute daily to the office in downtown Miami; work hours are 8:30 am–5:00 pm.

This is not a remote position.

Strong communication and writing skills – you will be interacting with top executives, management, employees, advisors, and clients, so the ability to communicate and write clearly and effectively is crucial.

Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Office Manager.

Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.

Ability to handle large volumes of data.

Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Preferred: BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including:

Month-end and year-end closing processes.

Accounts payable & receivable, general ledger, payroll, and benefits.

Calculating managerial bonus compensation.

Processing expense reimbursements and commissions.

Performing revenue and expenditure variance analysis.

Producing production reports.

Managing 1099 contractors.
