Brake Press Operator

The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for monitoring the operation of the press brake, ensuring that all parts meet quality standards and specifications, ensuring the press brake is set up correctly for each job and that all safety requirements are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and operate the press brake to achieve set specifications and run checks to ensure that all safety standards are met.

Monitor equipment to ensure it is working properly.

Ensure all safety standards are being met.

Perform daily maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and changing of parts.

Check run times of equipment to ensure it is working properly.

Check run times of the press brake to ensure it is operating correctly.

Check run times of the conveyor system to ensure it is operating correctly.

Ensure all safety standards are being met.

Ensure all jobs are being performed according to company guidelines.

Perform daily inspections on the shop floor, including checking run times, inspecting equipment, adjusting controls, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Experience with measuring instruments preferred but not required but not required.

Ability to read blueprints preferred.

Ability to work under pressure (quickly) while maintaining a positive attitude (team player) in a fast paced environment.

Must be able to read a tape measure.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally heavier than 50 lbs., push pull pull duties up to 50 lbs., and stand or walk for up to 10 hours per day in an office or manufacturing environment (occasional) .
