Business ManagementThe Business Management job is responsible for providing strategic support for the assigned business area. Under minimal supervision, this job executes strategic business management consulting to leaders by analyzing metrics and presentations to support business strategies, driving business management policies and routines, and being a point of contact for leaders in the execution of business management tasks.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Generates complex metrics and drafts and reviews reports in assigned functional business area to inform decisions on tactical issues that impact the business.

Implements policies and procedures in support of the business area strategy.

Implements process improvements in the assigned business area.

Analyzes and reports on area data (financial, headcount, etc.) and performance metrics.

Supports business management projects by documenting risks, issues and action items.

Drives meeting planning in support of business projects and objectives.

Career Level7ICThis position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operating activities involved in overseeing vendors fulfilling various Global Corporate Services (GCS) functions and providing leadership to mail operations, document distribution and document destruction services. The candidate will serve as liaison to TIAA’s third party contractors for multiple GCS functions including but not limited to; express shipments, mail/copy center operations, shred services and courier companies. The business manager is responsible for development and execution of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations of multiple mail centers and enterprise-wide support vendors. Engage with staff across the organization and foster cross-departmental relationships. This role is critical to the success of the business entity and requires the ability to demonstrate, document and communicate successfully with suppliers and internal business partners. The position will ensure business planning and support activities across multiple areas are followed and ensure alignment with business strategy. This position will be responsible for tracking and driving to completion projects/programs related to the success of the business entity.Skills and Abilities:

Experience in working in a high pace client-vendor relationship capacity, preferably in the financial industry.

Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and able to articulate ideas to all levels of management.

Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and able to work with cross functional teams.

Industry board affiliations and certifications are a plus (e.g. Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Procurement Professional, etc.), PMP PreferredBase Pay Range: $84,300/yr. - $140,500/yr.Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
