CEI Senior Building Inspector

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CEI Senior Building Inspector to join our Transportation Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Tampa, Florida. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.Job Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:Being fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the building construction to include masonry work and familiarization with the local and State building codes and ordinancesPerforming under the general supervision of the Project AdministratorRelying on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goalsSetting own project deadlinesProviding on the job training to new employeesMonitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection dutiesPerforming daily field inspections and maintaining inspection recordsParticipating in punch lists, testing, and commissioningTracking quality assurance progressProviding input to documentation for area and equipment turnoversCoordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance and timely resolution of issuesConducting regular safety inspections and enforcing safety protocols on construction sitesReviewing and interpreting complex construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentsPreparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate project documentationParticipating in project meetings and providing expert advice on construction methods and materials
