POSITION SUMMARY:
HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, located on Florida's Emerald Coast, seeks a full-time Charge Nurseto join our Cardiac Cath LabTeam!The Cath Lab RN will provide all nursing care during special procedures (Angiography, Cardiac Catheterization, etc.). Assumes responsibility and accountability for several patients during a designated time frame while following policies and procedures of HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital. Prioritizes and organizes patient flow to ensure the best utilization of time. The Cat Lab RN is given general guidance and is expected to function with initiative and sound judgment to provide quality services. Must establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and Medical Staff. This role will require a call with a 30 minute response time.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
- Nurse with 3-5 years of experience in cardiology required
- Associates degree in Nursing Required
- BSN preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
- BCLS – AHA Healthcare Provider certification required upon hire
- ACLS required within 90 days of hire
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)
- 3-5 years’ experience in Cardiology clinical setting required
- 3-5 years Cardiology performance improvement experience required
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Proven administrative ability for the operational activities of a Cardiology program and department.
- Capable of analyzing and preparing complex records and reports.
