AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer to support and oversee a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects within the Orlando, Florida region. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise, leadership, and construction engineering inspection support to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and schedules.Serves as senior technical resource and technical advisor for assigned projects and team membersProvides specialized technical input to studies and design work within the specific area of expertiseDevelops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by othersParticipates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and provides constructive technical feedbackServe as an Engineer of Record for small to medium size transportation improvment projects Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects with accuracy and attention to detailApplies expertise throughout all steps of completing the discipline component of PS&E packagesPerforms quality control review of design calculations, drawings, and technical documentationPrepares and reviews technical specification sections for completeness and complianceProvides input to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirementsMentors junior engineers and technical staff to support professional development and knowledge transferManages client and stakeholder communications regarding technical matters and project statusEnsures compliance with FDOT design criteria, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout project deliveryLeads small to mid-sized project teams and coordinates efforts across multiple disciplinesPerforms independent technical reviews demonstrating knowledge of multiple engineering disciplinesIdentifies opportunities for process improvement and innovation in design methodologies and project delivery
