Why You'll Love This Job: The SIFMU Clearance & Settlement Generalist is a key front-line position in the vital equity settlement department. They will perform all routine and complex functions, handle exception processing, take part in problem resolution, mitigate risk and assist in driving process improvements.Responsible for day to day functional responsibilities within the FICC Clearing & Settlement Operations team and inter collaboration across multiple geographic locations. Demonstrating knowledge of BONY clearance, Fedwire deliverable products, Triparty Repo, SIFMA good delivery guidelines.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Operational
  • Execute on the operational processes matching practice to documented procedures demonstrating the ability to critique and make suggestions for improvement
  • Ability to articulate processes performed along with associated risks and broader impacts
  • Perform ad-hoc, resiliency and contingency tasks with minimal supervision
  • Regular and impactful contributor to huddles and meetings
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Treasury and Agency securities
  • Proficient with knowledge of the Bank of New York Settlement systems including AccessEdge

Quality/Customer Service/Relationship Management
  • Responsible for assisting with complex client inquiries while maintaining a high level of professionalism and world class experience with every interaction
  • Ensure quality execution and timely inspection of work conducted

Regulatory and Operational Risk
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
  • Identifies control weaknesses and ensures risk is mitigated through the implementation of appropriate controls

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree; preferred Masters or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates reliability by following the necessary steps to meet required deadlines
  • Enhanced PC skills
  • Communicates with confidence and creates a credible impression internally and externally
  • Easily picks up new and complex concepts
