KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Cloud Engineer: Azure lift/shift of on-prem IT / apps w/ DevOps Seeking a talented Cloud Engineer II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing secure and scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in migrating on-premise applications and infrastructure solutions to Azure
  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates or terraform to automate the deployment and management of cloud services.
  • Ability to automate cloud services using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Implement and manage Azure networking and security, including virtual networks, network security groups, and load balancers.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and services to ensure 24/7 availability and performance.
  • Compose, maintain, and update standard operating procedures and training documentation.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including virtual networks, network security groups, and load balancers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Microsoft Azure Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple projects.
  • Research and propose recommendations for enhancing approaches for support services.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the availability of critical systems outside of business hours (currently there's no on-call schedule but that's subject to change)

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or information Systems or associate degree strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Azure certifications strongly preferred. (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure to include:
    • Moving on-premise infrastructure to Azure
    • Managing / set up of Azure DRaaS
    • Moving on-premise applications to Azure
    • Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines)
    • Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

    • Experience with IAC tools like ARM templates or Terraform
    • Ability to read architectural diagrams
  • Plays a lead role in the maintenance of knowledge within the IT department, coordinating the implementation of best practices and the adoption of suitable trends while also keeping track of licensing on all IT related items.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform) helpful
Compensation depends on experience, but is typically between $87-91K. However, we've advised our client that this salary is off-market (with market pay potentially up to $130-150K).
