Description We are inviting applications for the role of Collections Specialist in the healthcare industry, based in Boca Raton, Florida. This role is critical to managing and resolving customer accounts, primarily within the medical sector. Responsibilities include: Managing a portfolio of accounts, prioritizing based on balance and age. Contacting customers to secure payment, demonstrating excellent customer service skills. Maintaining detailed and accurate customer records. Working closely with an external vendor, Etactics, to facilitate payments. Utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word to document and track customer interactions. Developing a solid understanding of medical terminology to better service accounts. Leveraging skills with accounting software systems like IBM AS/400 and Great Plains. Utilizing Accurint to gather and analyze data. Applying knowledge of billing functions and collection processes. Collaborating with a team to distribute and manage accounts effectively.This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with Accurint Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) Knowledge of IBM AS/400 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Understanding of Billing Functions Familiarity with Collection Processes Prior experience as a Collector Understanding of Credit operations Excellent Customer Service skills Experience in the Healthcare/NHS industry is a plus Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments.
