Commercial IT Business Development Leader

Job Description: Strategic Technology Partners LLC ( www.stpfederal.com ) has an opportunity for a Commercial IT Business Development Leader. This position is responsible for developing and executing STPs marketing and sales strategy within the information technology (IT) services industry for commercial customers. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the IT space with specific experience in developing and closing business opportunities with commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have a documented record of exceeding sales and business objectives and a history of driving revenue growth with a strong sense of urgency. Required Experience:
  • At least ten years experience with a proven track record of successfully marketing, selling and closing IT technical services to commercial customers.
  • Executing client sales engagement, including pro-active networking, cold and warm calling, and leveraging relationships with potential commercial customers.
  • Developing and executing strategic marketing plans, sales plans, and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for growth.
  • Translating technological capabilities and expertise into clear customer messaging.
  • Developing and presenting proposals to commercial customers.
  • Ability to leverage existing relationships and to create new relationships to develop and close sales.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and oral as well as excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Job Duties Include:
  • Developing, executing and maintaining a sales and marketing strategy.
  • Identifying and capturing business opportunities.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with key strategic customers and partners.
  • Coordinating, and closing deals, including leading negotiations in order to finalize the sale.
  • Maintaining communications with customers after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction is high.
  • Interviewing, hiring, inspiring, and managing future sales staff to meet corporate growth goals.
  • Assisting other departments within the organization to prepare technical publications, proposals and end-to-end capture activities.
  • Establishing and maintaining a consistent corporate image throughout all activities, promotional materials, and events.
  • Performing all duties with integrity and in compliance with all company policies.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
