Job Description
Essential Functions:- Greet customers and ascertain customer needs/desires
- Explain and obtain approval from customers for unexpected repairs
- Answer telephones
- Operate point of sale system to create work orders and invoice customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Operate the company’s flat-rate computer system
- Compute sales prices, total purchases, and process payments
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies regarding payment, exchanges, and returns, and security practices
- Open and close cash registers, including counting money, balancing drawers, and making deposits
- Generate computer bills
- Inventory and requisition materials and supplies
- Arrange and display merchandise to promote sales
- Inspect, clean, and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or safety violations
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:- At least 2 years of related experience preferred
- Acceptable driving record and valid drivers' license
- Lifting commercial truck tires or parts (40-80 lbs)
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Squatting & bending
