Components Engineer, Electrical

Looking for an Electrical Components Engineer to directly support the Product Design Manager. This is an onsite role in the Clearwater, FL area.

• Advise engineering and supply chain on selection and application of electronic components and systems to ensure parts can be sourced and are in active production.
• Investigate and qualify alternate component technologies or second source suppliers for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability.
• Monitor prototype and production Bills of Material for End-of-Life and obsolescence issues and recommend interchangeable replacements.
• Determine reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer, and any governmental agency reliability objectives.
• Manage component lifecycle management process, approved material list, parts database, and other documents defining active, equivalent parts.

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance upon hire if required.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience in an engineering development type environment.
• Experience in engineering supply chain, parts selection or in components engineering.
