Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our growing team in South Florida, supporting the Everglades Restoration Program. The Project Manager will report to the Lead Project Manager and will have direct reports including Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Superintendent, and a dotted line to the Quality Control Manager and Site Safety. This role involves overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome management. You will manage owner and subcontractor relationships, direct and mentor on-site staff, and demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, time management, communication, and client service skills.Duties Include: Responsible for the safety of all assigned employees and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to company safety policies and programs Execution of Contract Documentation (e.g., Drawings, Technical Specifications, General Conditions) Negotiate contract modifications with clients, subcontractors, and vendors Ensure compliance with Small Business requirements Ensure timely notices to the Owner regarding extra work, design changes, delays, impact, etc. Manage and/or coordinate company personnel and resources for the project Assist with preconstruction efforts Manage all aspects of the project from inception Prepare and execute the Project Executive Plan Prepare trade contracts and bid packages, overseeing the procurement process Oversee project performance, including project status, schedule, cost control, and change management Maintain relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants Attend and lead project meetings Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications Develop and maintain site logistic plans in coordination with the Superintendent Assist in the set-up of QA-QC procedures and conduct quality inspections Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment Prepare, submit, and follow up on monthly payments with the client Review and approve monthly subcontractor’s pay applications and vendor invoices.Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management
5 years working as a Project Manager, supporting heavy civil, earthworks, underground utilities, and/or water control structures projects.
Must have experience with $10+ million projects
Experience with the SFWMD and/or USACE is a plus
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Strong decision making/problem solving skills
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong management skills and leadership qualities
Ability to develop or maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors
Functions effectively as part of a team
Estimating skills
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
E-Builder, eCMS and/or RMS system experience is preferred
Procore experience is preferred
Bluebeam experience is preferred
Autocad and Revit experience is preferred
