Client: Contracts and Compliance SpecialistLocation: Miami, FL (Remote) Duration: Direct Hire Job Description: The Contracts and Compliance will be responsible for administering/assisting in drafting, inspecting future contracts, and updating existing contracts. We are looking for collaborative teammates with a passion for creative thinking and a drive for high-quality work. Job Duties:
- Review, draft, and customize agreements including customer service agreements, vendor agreements, facility leases, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Assist with tracking and documentation of contract lifecycle according to internal guidelines.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement, Line Maintenance, Transit, and AOG (aircraft on ground) Agreements and strategically implement efficient processes in key related agreements.
- Provide advice and guidance on contract standards and practices and manage risk in all agreements.
- Review and updates all data required for compliance with AS9110 metrics.
- Assist the Manager and other business unit stakeholders with the financial model to determine revenue and costs for new contract opportunities.
- Maintain internal policies and best practices.
- Support the Manager with communications with the Project Management team for collaboration on action item lists related to customer contracts and ensure the contractual language provides clarity for which party has responsibility.
- Update and help manage the contracts database, including inputting contract records and uploading documents, retrieving contract details and copies of contracts, and running reports on contract status and other details.
- Disseminate information regarding contract details, to appropriate business units.
- Distribution of key contract items to station managers and quality to ensure compliance with contract terms for billing.
- Redact executed contract copies for distribution to key stakeholders.
- Assist with the reconciliation of billing to contractual rates, terms, and conditions.
- Maintain contract files (electronic and hardcopy), including original signed contracts, correspondence, and addendums/amendments.
- Perform special assignments or projects as assigned or requested.
- Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for contract management, business management, or related fields.
- Experience with principles of contract law, commercial agreements, and compliance.
- Experience with contract reviews, drafting, and negotiating legal contract terms and conditions.
- Advanced skills/experience with computers, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Adobe Pro.
- Must have highly proficient communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, confidently, and professionally within all levels of the company regarding complex issues and work well with cross-functional business partners to ensure contracts align with varying stakeholder needs.
- 3+ years of experience with contract management or administration.
- Education and experience in law, project management, or previous aviation industry experience are a plus. Paralegal certification preferred.
- Professional certification through the National Contract Management Association, particularly the Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification or any other relevant certification is highly desired.
- Knowledge and experience with Cobblestone or other contract software databases.
- Experience working with a wide variety of commercial agreements and leases for analyzing, redlining, and interpreting legal documents, financial reports, and technical documents, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Strong work ethic to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Thrive/work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, be comfortable with ambiguity and working with multiple ongoing projects, and focus on key tasks, and priorities.
- High standard of excellence and attention to detail, schedule-driven, and well-organized with a keen sense of urgency and ability to manage stress and strict deadlines.
- Ability to implement best practices into legal contracting responsibilities.
- Ability to make educated judgment calls, solve problems and take initiatives necessary to perform job functions.
