Description We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Controller to oversee the financial management of our commercial real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and property management, with a proven track record of successfully managing the financial operations of commercial properties. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management:

Oversee the financial operations of commercial properties, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.

Ensure accurate and timely billing of rents, CAM charges, and other tenant-related expenses.

Monitor and manage property tax payments and insurance premiums.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop and implement annual budgets for each property in the portfolio.

Conduct regular financial analysis to track performance against budgets.

Provide variance analysis and explanations to senior management.

Lease Administration:

Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure compliance with financial terms.

Coordinate with property managers and legal teams to address lease-related issues.

Ensure accurate recording of lease information in the accounting system.

Audit and Compliance:

Coordinate and oversee annual audits and tax filings.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.

Provide training and development opportunities to team members.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Present financial results and insights to executive leadership.

FULL TAX RESPONSIBILITIES- COMPANY REVENUE AND PAYROLLRequirements Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or equivalent professional certification REQUIRED

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 5 years in commercial real estate.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar).

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
