Overview

We are seeking a creative, driven Part-Time Dessert Chef to join a fast-growing, innovation-focused dessert brand. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who combines technical experience with entrepreneurial energy and thrives in an environment where ideas move quickly from concept to menu.

This is a hands-on position for someone who has imagined running their own Willy Wonka–style dessert lab—where research, experimentation, and execution happen fast. If a concept is discussed on Monday, we aim to test or launch it by Thursday.

As we scale, this chef will play a key role in shaping menu development, kitchen systems, and the future growth of the brand.

Key Responsibilities

Research, develop, and execute innovative dessert concepts aligned with brand vision and current trends

Translate creative ideas into menu-ready desserts quickly and efficiently

Oversee daily dessert production, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and taste

Manage inventory, ordering, and ingredient usage to minimize waste and maintain cost control

Maintain a clean, organized dessert station in full compliance with food safety and health regulations

Work independently when required, including running the kitchen solo during certain shifts

Collaborate with ownership and culinary leadership on menu evolution and limited-time offerings

Assist with special events, catering requests, and custom dessert builds

Contribute to the development of scalable systems as the operation grows

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen (dessert, pastry, prep, bakery, catering, or fine dining)

Strong understanding of food production, food safety, and kitchen organization

Experience with menu development, inventory management, and quality control

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Comfortable taking ownership and working independently when needed

Creative mindset with a genuine passion for experimentation and innovation

Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required
