Work Hours/Shift: Full time 40hrs, Monday - FridayYou Will Be Responsible For:Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.Processes Medical Staff Initial, Locum Tenens and Allied Health Applications for Membership, Clinical Privileges and Permission to Practice according to established procedures.
Processes Additional Privileges Applications and Allied Health Changes Requests
Manages Progress of Applications by Reviewing and assessing all incoming documentation and enters into system within the department guidelines.
Maintains electronic summary of application and provide timely status updates of application and pending items to applicant and/or designee.
Communicates all concerns and issues with manager and/or director upon discovery or prior to managing application to department chairman.
Prepares completed applications to appropriate Chairman communicating any issues or concerns requiring specific attention. Pursues additional information as requested by the Chairman.
Obtains appropriate committee recommendation and follows through timely with the correspondent process according to the Credentialing Policy and Allied Health Policy.
Maintains data of Physician and Allied Health Professional privileges accurately in credentialing software following the respective Committee’s approvals.
Performs processing, credentialing, and verification of provider applications of all entities for which Medical Staff Services has entered into a delegated credentialing agreement according to the provisions of the agreement and the entity’s credentials policy.
QualificationsWhat You Will Need:Required:Associate degree in business or healthcare administration, OR Minimum of two (2) years professional secretarial or administrative experience
Proficiency in oral and written English
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work with people of various backgrounds and professional levels
Intermediate level computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook
Ability to work independently and prioritize projects
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent critical thinking skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under stress and deadlines
Preferred:Medical Terminology
Understanding of credentialing principles and DNV and CMS standards
Experience in Credentialing or a Medical Staff Services office.
Experience with credentialing software Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), or
Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM).
Job Summary:Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Manages the reappointment process of all members of the medical staff, including updates to credentialing database and privileges.
Manages alignment and reinstatement process for medical staff appointees; manages additional privileges for Allied Health Professionals.
Manages the Expirables Process by maintaining current documentation in database.
