The Bookkeeper reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Principle job duties include:

Day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, Bank Reconciliations and P/R processing.

Record and monitor accounts payable for trade accounts and subcontracts.

Run checks and prepare applicable invoice package for signature.

Maintain vendor contact files and all related accounts payable files.

Assist with general accounting clerical and administrative duties.

Collect and track certificates of insurance, lien releases, and notices to owner.

Monthly billing for all accounts.

Reconciliation of all costs associated with all cost-plus contracts.

Follow up on all open balances for all projects.

Answer and respond to phone inquiries and office filing.

Knowledge of job costing, NTO’s, Lien Releases, AIA Documents, Certificates of Insurance, and Contracts Administration.

Qualifications:

At Least three years of experience in accounting is required. Accounting in construction is preferred.

Experience with QuickBooks is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including WORD and EXCEL.

Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
