This key position supports the company's analytics department by providing reporting, analysis and insights about what is driving the company’s sales and profitability performance. This role reports to the Vice President of Database Marketing and Customer Insights and supports multiple stakeholders in the organization. The right candidate will have the ability to

organize and evaluate data from various sources, summarize key performance drivers and recommend profitability optimization measures to meet business objectives.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create, maintain and distribute performance dashboards, mostly using Tableau, for various company KPIs including sales and profitability, new customer acquisition, customer engagement / retention, website behavior, supplier partner performance
  • Investigate performance changes, identify causes / opportunities and support resulting action items
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of relationships between pricing, site traffic, seasonality, customer attributes and product mix
  • Monitor impact of merchandising tactics and recommend optimizations
  • Develop models to predict impact of changes to key sales performance drivers e.g. pricing, product mix, site traffic, sales volume
  • Clearly communicate key insights, the story behind the data, and explain data concepts
  • Recommend next steps based on various KPI and ad hoc analysis
  • Answer any questions that a Management or Marketing team might have about data collection, definitions, reliability, modeling, etc
  • Develop close working relationships with key business areas to understand their operations, communicate P&L status and variances, and provide analytics support & guidance as needed
  • Work closely with Finance team to help understand and project sales performance
  • Assist Sales and Marketing teams with modeling and projections
  • Monitor data source systems and data warehouse to ensure all updates, APIs, tracking, etc are operating as intended
  • Conduct ongoing quality control to ensure data accuracy and confirm success of database updates / additions

Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ degree
  • 3+ years of analytics experience, including
    • Database operations
    • Data visualization, 2+ years
    • Statistical analysis
    • Financial reporting
    • E-Commerce experience a plus
  • “Proficient – Expert” level in key data analysis tools
    • Microsoft Excel
    • SQL
    • Tableau
  • Adobe Analytics experience a plus
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexibility to flourish in fast paced environment and quickly shift priorities to accommodate business needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
