Job Purpose: Responsible for enterprise-wide data design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors. Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts. Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design. Defines data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects.Responsible for business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation. Minimum Requirements: Education –Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.Required Qualifications -• Minimum of 7 years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
Job Responsibilities • Analyze the current infrastructure of the Lottery’s data design to make the necessary modifications to ensure an optimized environment.• Research, recommend and implement a better solution for data architecture.• Analyze and implement changes to data access that address any security vulnerabilities.• Assist in any project that require data designs.• Mentor Lottery applications staff to achieve self-reliance with all projects assigned and completed.• Identify processes for improvement, document existing processes, identify and analyze gaps between current processes and product capabilities, design new processes, develop process performance measures and assist team with transition to a new process.• Handle day-to-day management of assigned projects and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met.• Write technical documentation; and• The Lottery reserves the right to extend or expand the statement of work of the resultant Agreement to other related projects.
