ADP is hiring a DCT (Data Collection Terminal) Repair Tech. Performs any combination of following tasks to repair and refurbish data collection terminals (time clocks).This includes clock badge readers, bio-metric readers, keypads, LCD displays and printed circuit boards and components using soldering equipment and or applicable tools
Perform inspection and diagnostic test per specifications
Disassemble all installed peripheral devices
Clean all salvageable parts to "like new" condition
Replace and re-install worn and/or defective parts to meet "like new" standard. Maintain service repair logs
Update terminals with the latest approved firmware version utilizing application software, SD Card or USB stick
Perform final QA testing
Create labels for clock and packaging and packing slip and box and palletize for shipment

Responsible for maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records
Program, set up, test and repair various types of ADP terminals using ADP software and diagnostic tools
Keep data collection terminals up to date with latest approved firmware release
Prepare terminals for shipment to fulfillment warehouse
Manage repair parts inventory to ensure organization and adequate stock is available
Monitor and maintain a 90 day supply of all clock types
Assist with receiving clock returns as needed
Assist Client Service and Sales with hardware related questions
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Up to 1 Year of Directly Related Experience
High School Diploma/GED
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
Some College
Technical Schools
Assembly of electronic components
Basic understanding of quality standards(IPC)
Ability to follow multi-step test procedures
Strong troubleshooting skills
Basic understanding of electronics
Computer skills
