Data Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to join our firm as a Senior Data Engineer. This role will report to our Senior Vice President of Engineering and work with a highly skilled team of developers, architects, analysts, and product owners in an agile development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement data transformation pipelines across development, integration, and production environments supporting data quality, labeling, and anonymization of sensitive data
  • Implement elastic scale in cloud-native infrastructure based on service level objectives
  • Implement CI\CD pipelines to provision cloud-native infrastructure, data quality, and code quality checks
  • Work with product owners to develop service level indicators and implement the monitoring of service level objectives in cloud-native observability layer
  • Support multiple platforms, reporting solutions and client-specific projects
  • Lead development of data visualizations that answer critical business questions and solve for internal and external reporting needs.
  • Create and adapt business requirements by communicating with appropriate internal stakeholders, such as Relationship Managers.

Requirements
  • A working understanding of data pipelines in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Relevant BA/BS degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of development experience using SQL, Python, Scala, C#, or similar language
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Solid mathematical aptitude
  • A self-starter, and a team player with great communication skills.
  • Ability to drive multiple client deliverables to completion in a timely manner
  • Effectively use insights to think creatively about business problems
  • Eagerness and experience learning new software solutions and tools

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory
  • Work history in the Wealth Management industry is a plus
