Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director, Agile Tooling and Reporting, this role will accelerate Agile transformation efforts through technical development in the buildout of Agile Enterprise reporting utilizing SQL and associated reporting technologies (PowerBI, SSRS, etc.) The ability to query against Oracle is also strongly desired. This position provides a unique opportunity at the forefront of Agile transformation, working on the design and development of reports utilized by the Agile community at SVB.

Key functional responsibilities will include:

Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing Microsoft SQL server database solutions for end user reporting
Design and develop reports that meet reporting needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability
Work closely with the Director of Agile Tooling and Reporting and the Head of Agile to execute on business requirements
Oversee proactive maintenance of our existing SQL database structure to ensure stability and can scale as our reporting needs grow
Maintain SQL database and reporting best practices for the reporting team
Drive to learn new technologies to assist the Agile Enterprise reporting needs

Key QUALIFICATIONS

The skills we are looking for include: Excellent database design and report writing team member skills backed by superior listening, communication, and presentation skills. Attention to detail, strong business, and financial acumen. Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver within a working sprint. Able to produce technical solutions from a backlog of requirements.

Minimum of 5+ years' experience working within a high demand reporting environment
Strong SQL database querying skills
Advanced knowledge of SQL
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Reporting Services
Experience with Jira/Confluence
Strong experience in standard reporting technologies. Emphasis is on Microsoft Power BI and SSRS to start. Tableau experience is optional but desired.
Understanding of basic oracle querying.
3+ years Banking/Financial Industry experience
10+ years Information Technology role experience
Certifications (preferred):
- Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Database Fundamentals SQL Certification
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): SQL 2016 Database Development Certification

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): SQL 2016 Business Intelligence Development Certification

Base Pay:$92,354.00 - $138,531.00

Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
