Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Database Analyst in Tallahassee, FL. The particulars of the position are as follows.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Six years of experience with Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) to query Oracle databases. Six years of experience with Oracle relational databases, On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Decision Support System (DSS), serving in high performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments. Six years of experience with Source Code Control System (SCCS) for the management of internal code changes to Oracle Forms and Reports, Oracle objects, and scripts. Microsoft Structured Query Language (MS SQL) Related Experience: Six years of experience with MS SQL products inclusive of MS SQL 2008. Six years of experience as an MS SQL administrator inclusive of data design and modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning. Six years of experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, DTS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers. Six years of experience with SQL relational databases, OLTP and DSS, serving in high performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments. Six years of experience with configuration management (SourceSafe administration) for SQL database objects. Six years of experience with database design tools including ERWin and ERStudio.

Reports Development Experience: Six years of experience with independently analyzing and interpreting table structures and relationships to develop complex queries and reports. Six years of experience with database navigational and analysis tools, and the ability to recommend the appropriate tool for the appropriate data infrastructure complexity; Six years of experience with developing queries and reporting against complex relational databases with preference given to experience with Crystal Reports and ASP to deliver such queries and reports. Six years of experience with data integrity evaluation, taking corrective action on identified data problems, and assisting with implementing data quality checks during data intake; Six or more years developing queries and reports against the Versa Regulation and Versa Online Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products.

Roles and Responsibilities: Develop ad-hoc queries on database schema daily, as directed by the Department. Provide reporting and data integrity requirements of the licensure data warehouse to the Departments Office of Information Technology (OIT) daily, as directed by the Department. Modify MS SQL T-SQL language daily, as directed by the Department. Modify MS SQL Database Storage structures tables daily, as directed by the Department. Modify MS SQL tables view indexes daily, as directed by the Department. Develop ad-hoc queries on MS SQL Databases daily, as directed by the Department. Work directly with the Departments OIT to manage production promotion for Crystal BO reportsdaily, as directed by the Department. Provide analytical services for system incidents and enhancements daily, as directed by the Department. Process defect tickets to correct system errors within two business days, as directed by the Department. Process release tickets to manage user requirements within the timeframe directed by the specific ticket request. The response due date of tickets assigned will range from one hour to more than one week, as directed by the Department. Provide analytical services on systems to implement user-defined report requirements monthly, as directed by the Department. Provide analytical services on systems to identify data integrity issues daily, as directed by the Department. Facilitate collection of report requirements with the business program staff daily, as directed by the Department. Deliver code to perform reporting functions as defined in user requirements daily, as directed by the Department. Document report requirements, business processes, and system processes daily, as directed by the Department. Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements daily, as directed by the Department. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff daily, as directed by the Department. Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff (scheduling meetings, document decisions, identify issues and action items) daily, as directed by the Department. Produce work estimates to implement user-defined requirements and system changes daily, as directed by the Department. Produce status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements monthly, as directed by the Department. Produce detailed accounting of hours worked by tasks monthly, as directed by the Department. Provide analytical services on Departments OIT processes to identify operational efficiencies daily, as directed by the Department. Provide analytical research to satisfy queries requested by the Legislature and Departments management daily, as directed by the Department. Follow the Departments OIT processes and coordinate with other Department IT staff to ensure compliance with Department standards daily, as directed by the Department. Coordinate efforts with the Departments Contract Manager to achieve cost savings under this agreement, where feasible and practicable, as directed by the Department. Those efforts include, but are not limited to, identifying common system errors in systems that can be resolved in a manner that achieves cost savings. Any cost savings identified must be documented and included as part of the monthly status report.
