Job DescriptionPerforms all sanitation functions. The Sanitation Associate Team Leader will assist in the leadership of the Sanitation Team.Responsibilities

Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work all scheduled shifts.

Operates powered pallet jack/forklift in accordance with OSHA and Whole Foods regulations to unload and move product.

Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work environment.

Abide by all safety regulations set forth by OSHA and Facility.

Reports all accidents and injuries to Team Leader or Facility Leadership immediately.

Manages all aspects of the regional recycling program, where applicable.

Manage cleaning inventory and replenish as needed.

Remove and properly dispose of all refuse, recycling material, cardboard, and pallets as directed.

Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained on a regular basis.

Review and sign all task logs upon job completion.

Assists in Team Member training and development and documents all activities.

Interview, select, train, develop, and counsel Team Members in a manner that is conducive for building and sustaining a high performing team.

Model and cultivate intra-facility and inter-facility communication, as required.

Maintains thorough and complete documentation in support of Team Member discipline and counseling activities.

Accurately tracks and documents Team Member productivity.

Attend all team and facility meetings.

Assumes responsibility of all team functions in the absence of the Team Leader.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to perform physical requirements of position

Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team

Demonstrated ability to operate all necessary equipment

Meets all customer service expectation and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors and fellow team members

Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner

Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, and thorough product knowledge

Demonstrated responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks

Attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork

Desired Work Experiences

Experience in all aspects of shipping operations (2 years)
