The Work You Will Do: This Accounting Services Analyst C position, working as a Project Data Analyst”, is within the Division of Administrative Services’ Director’s Office and is charged with supporting the Department’s administration of the American Rescue Act Plan funding. This position will assist with providing federal reporting requirements to program areas and reconciling obligations and expenditures to report to the Executive Office of the Governor. Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for finance and accounting administrative support for ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funding, including funding for the Resilient Florida Grant Program.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Analyzing, reconciling, and compiling financial transactions (obligations and expenditures) for quarterly ARPA reporting to the Executive Governor’s Office.
Keeping up to date on federal guidelines and requirements from the U.S. Department of Treasury.
Assists with compiling and updating of annual reports and program plans as needed.
Coordinates communications to ARPA Coordinators on federal reporting requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of financial data collection and report preparation.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to compile, review, and reconcile financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from a college or university, work experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the required degree.
